The printing process :

To use the advantages of digital printing the fullest, it is good to know the digital textile printing process. Here you will find a brief explanation how we ensure the best quality and fastness properties.
Before we start a new project we like to discuss your idea or concept. We have some standard tissues

1. Receiving the file or printed sample

Any digital file can be printed. However it needs a certain resolution (quality) to have a good output. Please contact us for instructions on how to deliver a file. We can scan any given sample, color it and print on textile. You can send them by E-mail or Ftp but he best way for us to use your files is from a CD Rom.
2. Adjustment to the file, if necessery

Sometimes color adjustments have to happen, scale the design, put it into repeat, separating the file in different color layers. We have essential textile software to perform these tasks. Find more out here.
3. Pretreatment of the textile for Dtp

We add chemicals to the textile before printing. It allows us to obtain unseen level of detail onto textile. Also it facilitates fixation of the inks after printing, during the steaming process (see 5.). The pretreatment increases the fastness properties and color gain.

4. Printing

Any given digital design can be printed on cellulose based fibers ( as cotton, silk, linen) as on Polyesters. The process is just the same as your home/office printer. With 8 basic colors we can print an unlimited amount of colors with or unlimited size of the design. Repeating patterns are no longer necessery.

5. Fixation & washing

After printing, the fabric goes into a steaming chamber for several minutes. The combination of the pretreatment chemicals, inks and the steam allows the colorants to bind with the fabrics. This process assures high fastnesses (at least the same fastesses as conventional printing). After washing (to remove the pretreatment and the remaining colorants) the fabric is dried and ready for shipment and confection.
